My icons — which I had left at the church while I was in Boot Camp — arrived yesterday, thanks to Lisa. Praying with them last night and this morning was very much like seeing old friends again — wonderful. The icons are of St. Basil, the holy Archangel Raphael, and a deisis of Christ, the Theotokos and St. John the Forerunner and Baptizer. It’s good to have old friends around again.

Thanks Basil! You didn’t have to tell the whole world how slow I am at getting things done! 🙂 Oh, but maybe anyone who counts already knew 🙂

It was a privilige to have them in our midst as a constant reminder of you and your work in the desert of the armed forces. Know they have been bathed in our prayers and tears over the months they were in the temple.
Pray well with them.

Basil,
Right, and I’m no longer tempted to “borrow” them for my own use. 😉 (Mostly kidding!) I do have my sights set on that broken hand censor, though. I might like to borrow it until I feel like buying my own (since I am getting my own place next month and all). And again, I hate it that my typing goes off the screen and I can’t see what I am typing for a little bit. WordPress and Internet Explorer must not like each other.
