His emminence, Metropolitan Philip, primate and exarch of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America, has apparently suffered a heart attack. Please keep him and his flock in your prayers.

Basil,
You’re information is incorrect. I called the Wichita Chancery and they said they he has not has a heart attack. He has a bleeding ulcer and he’s doing fine.

Hmmm…
Seems mine wasn’t correct either. It was a bleeding ulcer but he is in ICU. I received this report from Mother Nektaria.
“The condition of Metropolitan PHILIP and the official word via Kathy Myers of the Antiochian Headquarters [5:30 PM (Eastern)] is that he is still in ICU and suffered from a bleeding ulcer.
Please continue to pray for him.”
Kathy Myers is in the Metropolitan’s office in Englewood.

Stacy, thanks for the update. It seems a lot of people received the same wrong information; probably originated from the same source. Of course, if I recall, bleeding ulcers can have the same symptoms has cardiac arrest. IANAD, of course.
