I was having a discussion with some colleagues from work about all the cool stuff we used to do on computers. I mentioned being able to download a fully functional Zork. Zork was a text-based adventure game, originally based on a game called advent, which dates from the elder days of Unix mainframes. This led to a discussion of the Infocom game based on Douglas Adams’ The Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Well, it appears that his website has a Java version for playing online. Way cool.
