You would never know that Alison Pyott goes by the name “The Green Witch” to see her in church: head swathed in a scarf, quiet and very conscientious about her Orthodox piety. When she first told me her website address, GreenWitchSoap.com, I thought she said, “GreenwichSoap.com.” Then, the young lady next to me giggled, and snorted, “The Green Witch, heh.” Alison smiled and said, “Ah, yes; my life before Orthodoxy.”

hey basil, thanks for writing me up on yr blog…i went searching google last night for any signs of the witch & found yr site…needless to say, it is refreshing to see more of your many facets…helps me not to feel so strange about some of my own…also, liked all the hair, dude! see you in church…
